<p><P>                                       Stress  Management Techniques</P><P>The  simple realization that youre in control of your life is the foundation of  stress management</P><P>Living with high levels of stress, can putt your entire  health at risk. Stress wreaks havoc on your emotional stability, as well as  your physical health. It tapers with your ability to think clearly, function  effectively, and enjoy life.</P><P>Causes  of Stress</P><P>Stress may be because of any physical, chemical, or emotional  factors that cause bodily or mental unrest and that may even cause physical  sickness. Stress also has effects on the immune system. Chronic (long-term)  stress has the effect of wearing down the immune system, leading to an  increased susceptibility to colds and other infections.  Physical and chemical factors that can cause stress include trauma,  infections, toxins, illnesses, and injuries of any sort. Emotional causes of  stress and tension are numerous and varied.</P><P>How to  Manage Stress</P><P>Stress is a daily part of our life; it would be absolutely  foolish to think that we can eliminate it from our lives completely. What we  can do is to manage it and not let it cripple us.</P><P> Learn to say no  This is the most important step, know  your limits and stick to them. Whether in your personal or professional life,  refuse to accept extra responsibilities that you know will cause you distress. </P><P> Avoid people who stress you out  If  someone constantly causes stress in your life and you cant turn the  relationship around, limit the amount of time you spend with that person or end  the relationship entirely.  </P><P> Take control of your environment   Avoid environments that stress you, if traffics got you tense, take a longer  but less-traveled route. If shopping is an unpleasant chore, do your grocery  shopping online or ask someone to help out. </P><P>Avoid heated topics  If  you get upset over religion or politics, avoid talking about them. If you  repeatedly argue about the same subject with the same people you are bound to  be stressed.</P><P>Know your limits evaluate  your schedule, responsibilities, and daily tasks. If youve got too much on  your plate, drop tasks that arent truly necessary to the bottom or eliminate  them entirely.</P><P> Express instead of bottling up- If  something or someone is bothering you, communicate your concerns in an open and  polite way. If you dont voice your feelings, resentment will build creating  unnecessary stress.</P><P>Compromise- When you ask someone to change  their actions, be willing to do the same. If you both are willing to bend a little,  youll find a middle ground.</P><P>Be more assertive- If you need something ask for  it. Deal with problems head on, doing your best to anticipate and prevent them. </P><P>Manage your time better- Poor time management  can cause a lot of stress. When youre stretched too thin and running behind,  its hard to stay calm and focused. But if you plan ahead, you can avoid these  stress-inducing pitfalls.</P><P>Dont try to control the uncontrollable- Many  things in life are beyond our control particularly the behavior of other  people. Rather than stressing out over them, focus on the things you can  control.</P><P>Look for the Brightside- When facing major  challenges; try to look at them as opportunities for personal growth. </P><P>Share your feelings- Talk to a trusted friend or a  therapist. Expressing what youre going through can be very therapeutic, even  if theres nothing you can do to alter the stressful situation.</P><P>Learn to forgive- Let go of anger and  resentments. Free yourself from negative energy by forgiving and moving  on.</P><P>Include relaxation time-Include rest and  relaxation in your daily schedule. Dont allow other obligations to encroach.  This is your time to take a break from all responsibilities and recharge your  batteries. Make time for leisure activities that bring you joy, whether  it be stargazing, playing the piano, or working on your bike. </P><P>Create  a Support system- A strong support system will buffer you from the negative  effects of stress. Spend time with positive people who enhance your life</P><P>Exercise regularly. Physical activity plays a key  role in reducing and preventing the effects of stress. Make time for at least  30 minutes of exercise, three times per week. Nothing beats aerobic exercise  for releasing pent-up stress and tension.</P><P>Eat a healthy diet-  Start your day right with breakfast, and keep  your energy up and your mind clear with balanced, nutritious meals throughout  the day.</P><P>Reduce caffeine and sugar- The temporary  &#8220;highs&#8221; caffeine and sugar provide often end in with a crash in mood  and energy. By reducing the amount of coffee, soft drinks, chocolate, and sugar  snacks in your diet, youll feel more relaxed and youll sleep better. </P><P>Avoid alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs- alcohol or drugs may provide an easy escape from stress, but the relief is only  temporary. <p><P>Face lift, technically known as rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure intended to remove excess fat, tighten underlying muscles and redrape the skin of your face and neck.It can also be done alone, or in conjunction with other procedures such as a forehead lift, eyelid surgery, or nose reshaping. Although a face lift can&#8217;t stop the ageing process, it can help &#8216;turn back the clock&#8217;.  SMAS rhytidectomy begins with the creation of a cheek skin flap. The SMAS is handled in a number of ways. This technique tends to be a very safe approach to face-lifting as the SMAS and sub-SMAS structures are left intact. Baker popularized the lateral SMASectomy approach. Baker&#8217;s technique is also very safe as the facial nerve is protected by the parotid gland in the area of SMAS resection. As face-lift approaches multiplied and became more complex, patient desires changed. Younger patients began to seek cosmetic surgery and trends toward less invasive approaches to facial rejuvenation developed. Patients wanted less downtime from their procedure. Additionally, despite increased tissue rearrangement with more complex surgery, a clear and compelling benefit of one type of face-lift over another failed to materialize. While controversial, the few studies that directly compared the various techniques failed to show a significant difference in outcome. Younger patients began to seek cosmetic surgery and trends toward less invasive approaches to facial rejuvenation developed. A number of face-lift alternatives and adjuvant procedures have been recently popularized. Cosmetic medicine disposes of a technique to treat problematic areas without these disadvantages. This method represents an achievable and efficient solution for an increasing number of people who want to obtain a natural result without surgical operation or general anaesthesia.A number of face-lift alternatives and adjuvant procedures have been recently popularized. For the patient with primarily soft tissue ptosis and little skin redundancy, the use of percutaneously placed suspension sutures is an option. This approach has been proposed for elevation of the brow, midface, and jowl regions.The advantages of these procedures are the use of local anesthesia and minimal scarring, downtime and expense when compared with traditional surgical rhytidectomy. As no skin excision occurs, these techniques will not remove redundant skin and may be best suited for younger patients. Most surgeons using suspension techniques utilize a variety of nonabsorbable sutures.ConclusionWhile the myriad of options for face-lifting may seem confusing to physicians and patients at first glance, there are advantages and disadvantages to each. With more options available, we can cater our treatments for each patient. With proper education and a firm preoperative assessment of goals, the surgeon and patient can select the approach that optimizes their probability of a successful outcome. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the West, the history of medicine started with Hippocrates, a physician who lived with the 4thand 5th centuries BC. For centuries his ideas were extremely influential and some of his work is referenced even today, for example we often talk of people being hot headed, a phrase relating to his ideas. He is thought of as the father of medicine and throughout history doctors have followed a set of guidelines relating to conduct, better known as the Hippocratic Oath. Over time, the Oath has changed quite considerably however the meaning has never changed, doctors must agree to work for the good of their patients.</p>
<p>Galen was another extremely important figure of ancient times, he came from a wealthy family and learnt his trade in Alexandria in Egypt. Galen carried a lot of experiments and made the discovery of the cause of paralysis. His other work focused on the structure and form of the human body and his findings formed an important reference for doctors for centuries.</p>
<p>In the middle ages, it was the Arabs who made the biggest step in medicine as they translated and studied the works of Galen. Whilst they followed the books created by Galen, they also carried out their own experiments and the Islamic doctor Ibn Sina developed the Canon of Medicine which was followed for over 500 years.</p>
<p>Anaesthetics</p>
<p>In the 1800s an American surgeon by the name of Morton developed the concept of anaesthetising patients before an operation so they would feel no pain. He used ether which is a colourless liquid, and when inhaled will cause the unconscious state. The use of such a technique is a relatively new concept but an extremely important one. It has developed significantly since Morton and it is now possible to simply numb a small section of the body to be operated on (local).</p>
<p>Drugs</p>
<p>Back in the days of Hippocrates and Galen all the way up to the 16th century, medicine existed very much in the form of plants and herbs. As we learnt more about pharmacology, we began to replace the herbs and plants with chemical medicines. It was a German scientist by the name of Domagk who realized that there are drugs which can kill bacteria, thus preventing disease from spreading. Other notable discoveries include Flemings penicillin and Waksmans streptomycin.</p>
<p>We now live in a fantastically advanced medical world and we are lucky to have a wide range of medicines available to treat many illnesses. There are however a lot of illnesses which we cannot treat and scientists are working hard to find cures for common problems such as cancer. Hopefully in centuries to come we will be even more medically advanced and pharmacology will have taken bigger positive steps towards curing more and more diseases.</p>

Anyway, you have been working out for many years without any commitment to anyone, even to yourself and that is why, you only workout as and when you are pleased. Well, you do concede that the results you get are never satisfactory and of course you are frustrated with your results. But what the heck, you prefer to waste time, waste gym membership fees and enjoy getting frustrated. You are entitled to your liberty.
<p> You dont need a fitness personal trainer because you hated someone to push and encourage you so that you can achieve your health and fitness goals much faster. Your idea of going to the gym is to socialize and to chat up girls. So why should you subject yourself to a regimen planned by a personal trainer who can sculpt your body to be more attractive and desirable to the girls you wanted to chat up? Your beer belly will do just fine. Girls just love big beer bellies you justify to yourself. So who needs a flat tummy with those ugly six pack abs? You certainly dont.
<p> You dont need a fitness personal trainer because you believe in the precept of no pain no gain. So if you exercise using the wrong form and techniques resulting in painful or even worse, permanent injuries, well, that is pain isnt it? So therefore with pain, there will be gains. Hmmm, such profound reasoning that even the great philosopher Confucius will be confused if he is still alive eh?
<p> You dont need a fitness personal trainer because you pay your income taxes. So without someone to guide and train you scientifically, you will not lose much body and visceral fat, so you will still have that high blood pressure, that potential stroke and heart attack, so that you will eventually land in a government subsidized hospital and so that some of the taxes which you have paid will be utilized by yourself. That is great clever thinking eh? You are glad that even without a PHD in business studies, you can figure out how to get a wonderful return of investments from your taxes paid
<p> You dont need a fitness personal trainer because you believe in conforming to the society. After all, most people in your country are overweight and not exactly glowing with good health, then why should you be otherwise? You are delighted to be like most people, obese and unhealthy. Hey, you are a good citizen arent you?
<p> You dont need a fitness personal trainer because you can spy on people who hired personal trainers in your gym. You eavesdrop on their trainers giving instructions and then you secretly work out according to what you have overheard not realizing that each and everyone is different and workout plans are to be tailored to each individual condition factoring in other issues like lifestyle, dietary habits and even the choice of exercises. You prefer to monkey see, monkey do and eventually falling painfully off the tree. Or should I say falling off the Empire State Building where the mighty King Kong fell?

Essential tremor is common in older people. Essential tremor is rarely present when the hands are not being used. It becomes most apparent when the affected person is trying to do something, like reaching for an object or writing. It is not caused by an underlying disease.</p>
<p>Tremors can happen at any age but tend to be more common in older people.You can develop a tremor from fatigue, stress, anxiety, or even rage. However, an ongoing tremor that is not associated with a change in your emotional state may be a sign of an underlying medical condition and should be evaluated. You may learn, as many do, that your tremors are perfectly normal, but eliminating medical reasons for the shaking is important.</p>
<p>Difficulty in making precise finger movements will necessitate enlarged keypads with rests, key-guards or delayed activation. Selection of key operating pressure may be critical to the avoidance of muscular spasm. Both audible and displayed key feedback will be necessary to confirm correct actuation and avoidance of unwanted repeats. Speech-input keying may be desirable, but some conditions giving rise to hand tremor also cause hesitancy in speech.</p>
<p>Causes of Hand tremor</p>
<p>Environmental factors: People with unusual exposure to herbicides and pesticides are more likely to develop Parkinson&#8217;s disease than are people who don&#8217;t have this exposure. Researchers haven&#8217;t yet been able to connect a specific herbicide or pesticide to the disease.</p>
<p>Hyperthyroidism or thyrotoxicosis occurs when the thyroid releases too many of its hormones over a short (acute) or long (chronic) period of time.</p>
<p>Tremors caused by stress, try relaxation techniques like meditation, deep relaxation, or breathing exercises. For tremors of any cause, avoid caffeine and get enough sleep.</p>
<p>Half of the cases are due to gene mutation and transmitted dominantly. There are two main loci: ETM1 and ETM2. The rest are idiopathic. No identifiable and consistent structural abnormality has yet been demonstrated to exist in the nervous system of every person with ET.</p>
<p>Essential tremor is the most common form of abnormal tremor. Although the cause is unknown, new research shows that the part of the brain called the cerebellum does not appear to work correctly in patients with essential tremor. The cerebellum is the part of the brain that coordinates muscle movements.</p>
<p>Symptoms of Hand tremor</p>
<p>Rigid muscles: Muscle stiffness (rigidity) often occurs in your limbs and neck. Sometimes the stiffness can be so severe that it limits the size of your movements and causes pain.</p>
<p>The signs and symptoms of withdrawal appear between six to 48 hours after the patient &#8220;stops&#8221; drinking alcohol. Some of the most common symptoms include tremors, mild headaches, cold sweat, vomiting, loss of appetite, insomnia, restlessness, rapid pulse, anxiety and auditory hallucinations.</p>
<p>However, some testing may be done to rule out other causes of tremors, such as excessive caffeine or tobacco use, alcohol withdrawal, use of certain medications (for example, asthma drugs, lithium, certain antidepressants and anti-seizure drugs)</p>
<p>Physiological Tremor: This is a very-low-amplitude fine tremor (between 6 Hz and 12 Hz) that is barely visible to the naked eye. It is present in every normal individual during maintaining a posture or movement. Neurologic examination results of patients with physiologic tremor are usually normal.</p>

No doubt you&#8217;ve probably wondered why some never seem to start balding. True, some are probably spending 00-00 for treatments like hair transplants, but many are not.</p>
<p>Using these secret  hair growing methods  will enable anyone to fight hair loss. So here is how you start looking like a celebrity.</p>
<p>First you need to stop using all of those commercial shampoos available. Yes I&#8217;m talking about at least 90% of them. Look on the ingredient label and if you see Sodium Lauryl Sulfate listed, stay away.</p>
<p>Aim at using natural shampoos that contain healing agents like above. You&#8217;re probably wondering where you can find shampoos like this huh?</p>
<p>Most organic food stores and even some nutrition centers contain all-natural shampoos. One little trick I&#8217;ve been using for a while and has spread around amongst hair loss enthusiasts is the use of Nizoral shampoo. The funny thing about this shampoo is that it&#8217;s not intended for regrowing hair. It&#8217;s a dandruff shampoo but the main ingredient in it ketoconazole, is an undercover baldness fighter.</p>
<p>It actually cuts DHT, the hormone responsible for receding hair lines and more, in the scalp. All you must do is wash your hair with it twice per week. It&#8217;s that easy.</p>
<p>I almost forgot to stress why commercial shampoos are so unhealthy for hair growth. That ingredient Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is a toxic degreaser.</p>
<p>It lifts dirt and oil well but with continued use, leads to clogged follicles and hair loss as a result. Not to mention that a lot of garage floor cleaners contain it as well.</p>
